Job Overview:
Clean Harbors is seeking a Fleet and Safety Trainer to lead training programs focused on driver safety, regulatory compliance, and accident prevention. This role is responsible for educating employees on safe driving practices, company policies, and industry regulations to reduce risks and improve overall safety training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions for drivers and technician personnel.
- Educate employees on DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and company-specific safety policies.
- Provide defensive driving, accident prevention, and vehicle operation training.
- Assess driver performance and provide coaching for improvement.
- Maintain accurate training records and certifications.
- Assist with safety audits and compliance checks as needed.
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Conduct H&S training in person, to include RCRA, OSHA 24, Confined Space Entry, First Aid/CPR.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations.
- Experience conducting safety training sessions in a classroom and field environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
- CDL Class A.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training software.
